Inventory through OneTools Project

Not all inventory is the same

Recent inventory project

OneTools Project also offers its customers the Service to a Inventory their Furnishings and other Equipment to carry out. Of course, we use our software solution BuildingOne.

Recently, we carried out such a project for a new customer. The customer needed Accounting a list of the furniture and equipment located in its offices and halls.

Here are a few key facts about the project:

Buildings

Area (m²)

Elements

Days (1 person)

Inventory ≠ Inventory

Not every inventory is the same. It always depends on what the customer needs the inventory for. For example, is it for accounting or should moves be planned and the stock always be kept up-to-date?

These are just two areas of application.

To determine this, we talk to the client in advance about what is needed and then advise them on the best solution.

This can range from a simple Excel list to a SaaS solution to a complete installation of BuildingOne.Window, BuildingOne.Web and the BuildingOne.App.

Here are a few options for an inventory

Option 1

All relevant elements are recorded with the help of personalised labels. As a result, we deliver an Excel list with the necessary information. This solution is well suited for an inventory for accounting purposes.

The data remains static until the next control inventory.

Option 2

In addition to option 1, the items in the inventory can be photographed and instead of the Excel list, a report can be created containing all relevant information including the photo of the item.

The report is then delivered as a PDF file.

Here too, the data remains static and is updated during the control inventory.

Option 3

If you want to keep your inventory up to date between check inventories or manage your furniture stocks yourself, but don't want to install any software, you can use BuildingOne as SaaS (Software as a Service). This means you can access your data at any time via the web and adjust it if necessary, move furniture to another room, add new furniture or delete old furniture.

With this option, the current lists and reports can also be created at any time.

Option 4

The use of BuildingOne.Windows at the customer's premises in conjunction with a 3D model.

This gives you the option of moving furniture either on the plan or in BuildingOne and then synchronising the data in both directions. This allows you to keep your inventory and plans constantly up to date.

If new furniture is entered in BuildingOne, it can be created by synchronisation in the 3D model and then placed there.

You can then use the BuildingOne.app to check the inventory offline and add to it if necessary. This is practical for areas where there is no network access.

It is of course also possible for us to take care of the creation or adaptation of the 2D plans (dwg, pdf), on which the furniture is placed as it is on site.

In BuildingOne 15, it is now possible to integrate 360° photos directly in the app. These photos are then automatically placed behind the rooms and can then be opened in BuildingOne.Windows and BuildingOne.Web as a panoramic image using the integrated 360° viewer. This gives you an all-round view of the situation on site.

BuildingOne is much more than just inventory software! If you would like to see more applications of BuildingOne, please read here, or contact us and we will arrange a presentation for you.

We would be delighted!
